Ppe Economy Xcelerator Reviews Consumer Report

Comments:
I bought this tuner based on PPE's reputation for Duramax products. The tuner works great, and delivers solid tuning options. You can feel the difference between each level, and they definitely add power. I was able to tow our 6000+ pound trailer up most grades without downshifting out of fifth gear. This was on level 2, with no overheating, or high trans temps.
The tuner also lets you relearn your trans after each reflash, to keep the shifting where it needs to be.
I would give this product 5 stars, but it fails in one area. Every time I use the data scan option, and try to scroll thru the pages, the tuner locks up, and throws an error code. This is concerning, because if I ever needed to clear a code, or get my trans out of limp mode, I'm not sure the tuner wouldn't lock up, and leave me stranded. The fact that I have to reflash my truck back to stock, and wait for PPE to return it is a hassle I'd rather not deal with.
